Accessing the chimney stack is a fundamental part of re-lining a chimney, at A.S.Chimneys we recognise that it can add a significant cost to an installation and so have invested in our own access equipment & staff training, to control costs & reduce the times expensive professional scaffold is required
Cherry Picker
We own our own cherry picker, this can be towed to site with our own vans & can be manoeuvred into place with its own drive system, it can pass through a gap of 1.8 metres & needs a space 4.5 metres square when out rigger legs are deployed.
Capable of lifting two men plus equipment to maximum vertical height of 17 metres, with an 8.5metre out reach at 8.5 metre height, it provides a very adaptable & safe access solution, which is more economical to customers than us having to hire machines in.
The machine has regular LOLER inspections and we have IPAF operator certificates for use.
Mobile Scaffold Tower
Our aluminium portable scaffold tower provides a safe & stable work platform easily transported and quickly erected & dismantled.
We are trained and hold PASMA certificates to safely use the scaffold tower.
Professional Scaffold Tower
For some jobs there is no option other than professional scaffold, we work regularly with local scaffold companies and can supply competitive quotes from reliable companies.
Ladders
Although the last consideration when it comes to safe access, ladders are still a valuable way of accessing chimneys for short term work, when used in conjunction with our small ridge scaffold unit a safe working platform can be provided.
Staff are trained to Ladder association standards in the safe use of ladders.
